Maynooth is only 35 - 45 minutes from Dublin by train (trains are frequent and run until late) so another option is to stay in Dublin, ideally within walking distance of Connolly train station where there are several hotels, such as Isaac's (www.isaacs.ie),The North Star (www.northstarhotel.ie) and Wynn's (www.wynnshotel.ie). An Oige (YHA) youth hostel, or Drumcondra area (good for B&Bs in particular - too many to list but easily found online are other options.
